SAN JOSE, Calif.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—July 18, 2006— Novas Software, Inc., the leader in debug systems for complex chip designs, is hosting a series of activities at this year's Design Automation Conference (DAC) in San Francisco, CA (Booth #3573) that will showcase Novas' latest innovations aimed at cutting the cost of chip verification. Activities include:

-- Workshops

-- Technical presentations

-- Product demonstrations

Novas also aims to repeat the success of its charitable fund raising initiative at DAC last year, which raised $5,000 for the American Cancer Society, with a used eyeglass collection drive developed in collaboration with the "Gift of Sight" organization.

Product demonstrations and technology seminars in Novas Booth #3573:

Latest Product Developments

-- The new Siloti(TM) Visibility Enhancement products

Transform late stage verification and system validation
methodologies by eliminating the overhead associated with
dumping data for all the signals in a design.

-- Novas' flagship Verdi(TM) Automated Debug System

New features include support for SystemVerilog Assertions
(SVA) for the debug and analysis of assertions and
        transactions.

Novas DAC Seminars

Monday through Thursday (July 24-27) on a range of topics
    including:

-- Visibility enhancement methodologies and solutions,

-- Hardware assisted verification (presented by Eve and Novas),

    -- SystemVerilog assertions,

    -- Transaction-level debug,

-- Advanced timing and clocking analysis.

All the workshops are offered at no charge to attendees and the media. Seating is limited, so pre-register online at http://www.novas.com/DAC2006.html.

Give the Gift of Sight

Novas is once again donating its DAC giveaway budget to charity, and this year is working with the "Give the Gift of Sight" -- an organization that has provided free eye care and glasses to more than four million people in need around the world. DAC attendees can drop off old eyeglasses or sunglasses in the Novas booth. Give the Gift of Sight will clean, repair and classify the glasses by prescription, then personally deliver them on Give the Gift of Sight international optical missions. Donors will be entered into the daily drawing to win a pair of night vision goggles for each set of eyeglasses donated at the Novas booth. Additionally, Novas will make a corporate contribution of $5,000.
